Maine- We also have several favorite places we like to visit in Maine. From the western mountains and Rangeley Lakes Region to Baxter State Park and Mount Katahdin, and then to Acadia and the "Down East" coastline...
Rangeley- I dedicate this section of the website to Tim Coffey. I only recently met Tim and only had the opportunity to talk with him a few times. We were never in Rangeley together. In our few short conversations we found that we shared the same enthusiasm for many things. Mountain climbing and photography were major topics. In my last conversation with him I learned that he had just taken the time to go through "Ghostflowers" . He went out of his way to praise my work, and that is always a welcome thing in anyone's life. It is sad that I learned more about him in his passing than I had the chance to learn in his life. We would have become friends, I'm sure. At the service I saw photos of him in beautiful places all over the world along with beautiful photos he had taken. To be honest I was green with envy. Envy of his ability to leave the "comfort zone" to go around the world to help people. It is a rare quality. Envy of his ability to live life to the fullest. Envy of his photography. I didn't know Tim very well, but I know he loved Rangeley and I hope he would have liked these pictures.
