Loosestrife
Although beautiful to look at, loosestrife is a non-native invasive plant whose root systems choke out the native plants which birds, fish and the many animals who live on the river rely on for food. The only thing that eats loosestrife is a small beetle that is now being used to eradicate it in some areas. This area near Marland Mills would be a good place to try it.
