Emmas first four thousand footer. After taking the winter off everyone wanted to start on an easy one, this might be the easiest. We learned that Emma likes to do the mountain twice. While the slower two wheel drive models lumbered along she made sport of running up and down between everyone and herding us to the summit and back. Everyone got a kick out of having her along, and a new peakbagger was born. Leaving from the parking area on Zealand Rd. we followed the unreamarkable Hale Brook Trail to the summit which only offers some filtered views to the southwest of the Twins. The whole climb probably took under four hours as we spent very little time on the summit. Some very lush greenery surrounding Hale and other brooks, very pretty at this time of year. K(22) J(20) E(1)
