Mount Tecumseh 4003’

5 Miles 2200’ Elevation Gain

Kevin, Judy and Emma

Although there are no pictures I include this trip to remind my self how important it is to keep up with my work. I let myself get behind and when I finally did sit down to catch up I managed somehow to lose the photos from this trip. I deleted them when I thought I had saved them to a file. If I wasn’t behind in my work I wouldn’t have been handling so many files at once and could have given full attention to this particular trip. I have since resolved to handle trip files ASAP to avoid this happening again. The trip was excellent. They all seem a little longer than you remember in the winter. Emma had her usual excited prance working for her winter trips. Near the summit there are some filtered views but even when you could catch one of these views clouds obscured distant objects and you could only see the nearest hillsides. For part of the way the trail paralells one ski trail of the Waterville Valley Ski Area with short connector trails offering the chance to go out to the ski trail and have a look around. At the treed summit we had a quick bite and a look around to catch glimpses of the views. We met other folks who had skied up with skins. They had come up one of the ski trails to the Sosman Trail then to the summit on the Mount Tecumseh Trail, cool! I wish we were going down that way. The trip down was unremarkable except that we found a camera and managed to return it to its owners who had realized they had dropped it and were returning to look for it. A good trip, another winter 4000 footer, and some fun. Sorry about the pics.
